Bruce A. McIntosh, Lawyer
Bruce McIntosh is the founder of Metrotown Law Group. He graduated from the University of Victoria law school in 1996. He practiced criminal and civil litigation in Kelowna before moving to the lower mainland where he focused on ICBC cases. As a lawyer, Mr. McIntosh believes in the importance of advocacy and representing every client’s interest to the best of his ability. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and reading about military history.
Craig McTavish, Lawyer
Craig McTavish joined Metrotown Law Group as associate trial counsel in 2013. He graduated from the University of Victoria law school in 1997. After representing personal injury clients on Vancouver Island and in Kelowna, Mr. McTavish relocated to the lower mainland where he continued to advocate for people injured in motor vehicle accidents, particularly children. He has significant experience handling ICBC claims, up to and including trials and under-insured motorist (UMP) arbitrations. In his spare time, he enjoys playing hockey and traveling.
Sarah Leung, Lawyer
Born in England and raised in Toronto, Sarah Leung joined Metrotown Law Group as an associate trial counsel in March 2015. She holds a Bachelor of Science and a law degree from University of British Columbia. Since 2008, she has been practicing in the area of personal injury/ICBC claims since. She has appeared in both Provincial Court and Supreme Court of British Columbia. Sarah is also trilingual (English, Cantonese, and Mandarin). In her spare time, she enjoys movies, theater, and classical music.
Harmonie Roesch-West, Lawyer
Harmonie Roesch-West has handled many personal injury cases including all aspects of the litigation process since she became a lawyer in 2009. Ms. Roesch-West has won cases in all levels of court in British Columbia including Provincial Court, Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal. She has attended numerous discoveries and mediations with her clients. Harmonie Roesch-West enjoys helping people get what they are entitled to and she works hard on every aspect of the case so her clients don’t have to. She joined Metrotown Law Group in October of 2014.
Richard Lee, Case Manager
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Richard Lee graduated from university in British Columbia. As a senior Case Manager, he is able to communicate with clients in Cantonese, Mandarin and English. Formerly an ICBC Claims Manager (first ever Chinese-speaking claims manager) and later as the owner of an independent insurance claims adjusting firm, Mr. Lee has over 28 years of claims experience with car accident cases. He is very familiar with ICBC rules and regulations and thus can benefit clients in processing their claims to a successful conclusion. In his spare time, Mr. Lee likes ballroom dancing, singing and traveling. His motto is: “serving our clients to the best of my ability.”
Charles Tam, Case Manager
Originally from Taiwan, Charles Tam has been a life long resident of Richmond. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology from Simon Fraser University. Before joining Metrotown Law Group, Mr. Tam worked for ICBC for 14 years. After his work with ICBC, Charles Tam further developed his professional skills by working as a Case Manager in the plaintiff personal injury field. Charles has 2 young boys and helps coach hockey in his spare time.
Michelle Kerslake, Case Manager
Michelle Kerslake is a Case Manager with 8 years legal support experience focused mainly in ICBC personal injury. Ms. Kerslake grew up in Langley and currently resides in Surrey. She enjoys boating, camping, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends and dog. Michelle is focused on helping her clients and answering any questions they may have about the legal process. She understands that to most people the legal process can be overwhelming so she is there to alleviate her clients’ stress and help them get their lives back to normal.
Shiori Fennessy, Paralegal
Shiori Fennessy was born and raised in Japan, and moved to Canada in 2003 to study History at the University of British Columbia. After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree, she went on to study at Capilano University and obtained her paralegal diploma in 2008. Since then, she has worked for firms specializing in ICBC cases. She joined Metrotown Law Group in September 2014.
Connie Mak, Legal Administrative Assistant
Connie Mak joined Metrotown Law Group in 2011. Connie was born in Richmond, BC and spent her first 4 years in Hong Kong. She returned to Canada at age 4 where she learned Mandarin during her elementary school years. She is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin and serves as a translator during meetings with clients. Ms. Mak enjoys shopping, various sports, and helping others in need. She provides the support to Case Managers and paralegals.
Grace Wong, Legal Administrative Assistant
Grace Wong began her legal career in 2010. She is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Since she started at Metrotown Law Group, she has been working with our paralegals as a Legal Administrative Assistant on the litigation team. In her spare time she enjoys watching movies and reading books.
Michelle Lei, Legal Administrative Assistant
Michelle Lei joined Metrotown Law Group as an office assistant in 2012. She was born in China but raised in Vancouver, BC. She is proficient in English and Mandarin. She is committed to her legal career and in April of 2014 she received her certification as a Legal Administrative Assistant. In her free time, Ms. Lei enjoys snowboarding and spending time with her loved ones. She is a valuable team player and works closely with our paralegal.
Dina Chen, Legal Administrative Assistant
Dina Chen obtained a B.A. in English from UNBC and completed her Legal Administrative Assistant certificate at VCC in summer 2014. She started her professional career later in the same year and she is currently studying part-time to obtain the paralegal certificate. In her free time, Ms. Chen enjoys travelling, reading, volunteering in arts communities, and experimenting in the kitchen. She speaks Mandarian, Taiwanese and English.
Angela Cheng, Assistant
Angela Cheng was born in Guangdong, China and came to Canada after high school. She graduated from Simon Fraser University in 2012 and joined Metrotown Law Group in 2013. She is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Ms. Cheng has a professional, polite and patient attitude towards clients who have gone through a motor vehicle accident. In her spare time, Ms. Cheng enjoys watching movies, traveling and spending time with her loved ones.
Cynthia Wan, Assistant
Cynthia Wan joined Metrotown Law Group in 2014. She was born and raised in Vancouver, BC, where she also attended Chinese school to learn Cantonese. She graduated from Simon Fraser University with a major in Criminology. She works closely with Charles Tam, one of our Case Managers. During her free time, Cynthia enjoys hiking and shopping.
Hiromi Platts, Assistant
Born and raised in Hokkaido, Japan, Hiromi Platts came to Canada in 1992. She is a certified ski instructor and former translator for a Japanese-Canadian magazine. She joined Metrotown Law Group in 2013. In her spare time, she enjoys cheering for her daughter's sports activities and playing with her cat.
Ellen Zheng, Office Manager
Ellen Zheng is the office manager at Metrotown Law Group. She grew up in Beijing and moved to Canada in 1998. She has over 15 years experience in the legal management field. A certified general accountant with a passion for customer service, Ms. Zheng oversees office policies and procedures. She was instrumental in helping Metrotown Law Group develop one of the biggest Chinese practice groups in the lower mainland. She enjoys gardening, traveling and reading. She speaks Mandarin and English.
